LOCAL CONNECTION GUIDE

Bring your local wallet
to the Monero desk.

1. Run your local wallet RPC

Use an official Monero mainnet wallet with monero-wallet-rpc, bound to 127.0.0.1:18082. Keep its login enabled. The companion uses curl with Digest authentication and reads your chosen account. Node.js 22+ and curl are required.

2. Start the companion

Download companion

In PowerShell, set your local RPC credentials and the exact address where this app is running:

$env:MONERO_RPC_USER = "your-rpc-user"
$env:MONERO_RPC_PASSWORD = "your-rpc-password"
$env:XMRHOOKS_ORIGIN = "https://xmrhooks.vercel.app"
node ./xmrhooks-companion.mjs

The allowed origin must be exactly https://xmrhooks.vercel.app. If you change domains, update this value and restart the companion. Allow local-network access when your browser asks.

Copy the temporary pairing token into Connect wallet. Private keys and seeds never belong in this website. The companion only exposes a read-only snapshot.

3. Put a sentry on watch

Choose an incoming-payment sentry or a spendable-reserve watch. Set its threshold and a follow-up: a logged update, a Monero payment link or an ETH payment instruction. Sentry settings are stored in this browser. Monitoring runs while this tab is visible; missed intervals are not replayed. Monero requests open your native wallet for approval. Robinhood Chain payment instructions spend ETH from your separate Robinhood Chain wallet and require its signature.

This app does not bridge XMR, issue a wrapped token, or deploy a Robinhood Chain program. No real payment is sent until you approve it in your wallet.

4. Use the tools without pairing

The Monero toolkit checks mainnet address formats and checksums, and converts XMR to piconero using exact arithmetic. Payment requests also work without a connection. Generate new subaddresses in your wallet, then paste them into a request.
